Issue Importing Playlists Into AIMP

Setup:

AIMP on Android. Music downloaded to a Windows PC. Music folders are synced to phone using Syncthing. My music is spread across a couple folders. Playlists are saved as .m3u files in their own folder. I am often updating these playlists, and they automatically sync to folders on my phone.

Issue:
There might be one issue or two haha

When I import playlists to AIMP they often either show nothing in them, or there is a list of songs but when I try to play a song it says it can't find the files. In the latter case I choose "find files automatically." This works, but it takes a long time, and whenever I modify my playlists on my computer I have to delete the playlist on AIMP, re-add it, and then find the files automatically again.

I am wondering if there is a better way for me to add and update playlists so this doesn't happen? Let me know if I can provide any other details.

Are relative or absolute paths used in the playlist?

They are absolute paths to the folders on my computer, not to the ones synced to my phone.

Edit: Okay, I wrote a script that I can run to convert the file paths in all my playlists to relative paths which made importing them better! Thank you!

But now I tested changing the playlist on my computer, updating the paths, and then just selecting the option to "Update playlists" in AIMP. It didn't delete the song I moved out, rather it just did.... something to the file (see screenshot). When I search the playlist file on my computer it no longer has that song listed, so i'm not sure why updating the playlist on my phone doesn't just fully remove it.

Can I fix this issue now, or is my best/only option for this now to always remove and re-import the playlist?

Use smart-playlists or close and import the playlist again.

I looked into this and unfortunately I don't think it will work. It's based on having playlist songs in folders, right?

I make auto-playlists in foobar using many custom genre tags I've created. Many songs are in several different playlists, so I can't be creating copies and putting them in various folders. I think that would become a records management nightmare.

If there isn't a fix thats fine. it's honestly way better to delete all the playlists and reimport them all the time now that they actually do import correctly haha

AIMP has few types of smart-playlists. I suggest to use smart-playlists based on playlist file.
