I've got Aimp v5.10.2412 and win10 (21H1) and playback progress settings on taskbar are not being saved.
After PC has been rebooted or awaken the playback progress on taskbar is visible even when I don't want it.
Pic attached. Those 3 ticks at the bottom are ticked back after reboot or waking up.

I've tried to reproduce issue on build 2414, but failed. Please, update app first
