After upgrading to v6.00.3064, KDE Media Player do not recognize AIMP anymore.


Reverting back to v6.00.3060 brings it back.

Unfortunately, I failed to reproduce the issue. Media Controls are displayed correctly for AIMP. I've tried on: Manjaro 26 and Debian 13.3 (KDE)

UPDATED: Even with the new 3065 version, it's still not displaying correctly for me.
Do you know where to find the log file or something similar to debug this? I'd like to see if I can find anything.

Start app from the console via "aimp" command. All internal and external app events will be output to the console screen

UPDATED:
After checking the log file, I realized there's a leftover file from previous installation that's messing up with the new install, causing KDE Media Player to not recognize it.
A complete removal and clean install of AIMP seems to fix the issue.

After longer test, the issue came back.

At the time I didn't know what file. When I ran over the log via journalctl, I saw a strange crash so I thought leftover files are what caused the crash.

Clean install does fix the crash, but turned out that's not the real bug.
I did test on my other machine and it works without any problems, so further troubleshooting points me toward race condition of D-BUS and MPRIS service.
Basically the Media Player widget didn't see AIMP when I first started it, and only able to see it after I restart plasmashell.

So that got me thinking this might be KDE-related bugs.
However I still don't know why reverting back to 3060b works (3056b also works) and any version after that doesn't.
