I just fixed this error. To see the changes in the app you already have installed, just open the app and wait a few seconds for the OTA update to download; then, close the app and remove it from the list of recent apps. When you open it again, you'll see the fix.

Can you add qr-code for mobile app?

Now, the plugin has in the UI the QR Code which will take you to the MEGA folder where the latest version of the mobile app is hosted, here the example of the UI.

Also there is a new version of the plugin available to download in the repository, it is the v1.4.0

Some issues I've noticed so far
App v1.3.0, plugin v1.4.0

If I go to the home screen (launcher) and lock the device, then return to the app after a while, the track info stops updating. Closing and opening the playback screen fixes it. Doesn't seem to happen if the battery optimization is disabled.

The cover art takes about a minute to load first time after launching the app. After that all covers load instantly.

Also a minor one - the app doesn't handle stop state in any way, it just shows the last played track info

Suggestions

I'm not sure how hard is it to implement for non-local playback, but support for media buttons (play-pause, next, previous, stop) and a media notification/widget would be amazing. It would allow controlling playback from the lock screen or even without turning the screen on

An option to open playback screen instead of playlist on app launch

Maybe change the layout a bit - move secondary controls to the bottom and put the main controls where your thumb naturally lands, like this (before - after):

mega.nz is the most inconvenient method.
Instead of the .apk file, the "latest.zip" archive is downloaded, and only after unzipping it can you access the .apk file (in "latest" folder).

Suggestion: The QR code link to the app should lead to the APK directly or Google Play, not to github release page. Not all users know how to github works. This will reduce the number of questions you receive.

The link currently in use has the following advantages:

• I don't have to constantly update the link within the QR code, and therefore I don't have to constantly update the plugin.
• It's relatively easy to use, since users won't have any problems or questions when downloading it—unlike GitHub releases, which, as was mentioned to me earlier, not everyone knows how to use. That's why I chose to host the file on MEGA.

Another issue - the app cache gets too large, I did a fresh install yesterday and it's already at 200mb. It keeps growing even if I switch back and forth between two tracks.

I'm pretty sure you can have a persistent direct link to apk if you keep the same file name between versions:

Your app works great, but I’m unable to switch it to landscape mode on my tablet or phone. I depend on landscape orientation for accessibility reasons, as I use my devices as remote controls. Adding landscape support would make a big difference for me. Thank you for considering it.

I hope you do not mind, but I was able to modify it to use in landscape mode on my unit.I will not share it, just using it locally.

Is really strange that the app reachs 200mb, but i could disable the cache of the images, by doing this all the images will take longer to load in every moment.

It's ready; now the QR code that appears in the AIMP player points to the .apk file for the latest version of the app.
In addition, there is a new version of the plugin in the repository that includes this change.
