[+] [2524] [x64] AIMP: Cannot change device parameters on Sound Output
<< < (2/3) > >>
AndreyP:
Still unsure on what to do, other audio options are only exclusive modes and pretending I have a 7.1 surround setup glitches some other apps, and I am sure I was able to change the setting on an earlier version last year
so sorry for bothering but idk what to do even though it's marked as solved, I loved using aimp and I'm so sad getting back to it that I can't use it without glitching my audio settings into 7.1

Edit: fixed by reinstalling audio drivers twice, sorry
Venomaster:
Same problem with the latest x64 5.40 beta 1 and 2 builds (Windows 11 Pro x64). Actually WASAPI: Windows default are playing in stereo, but AIPM detects it as 7.1 and doesn't allow to change parameters, but you can change everything through windows Sound properties invoked via ... menu.

Screenshots attached. AIMP detects only 32 and 32 FLOAT bit, but in system I can actually select whatever I want. Speakers are set to Stereo and they actually play in stereo, but AIMP shows 7.1 sound. I use onboard Realtek chipset ALC4080 series.
Artem:
But that's correct. In WASAPI mode, AIMP displays the settings that used in OS for output. It seems, that sound system has been configured like 7.1 surround, but only left and right speaker are enabled.
