Hello, I hope someone can help me figuring out this problem I'm facing, I've tried exporting and importing playlists for hours now, and still can't figure it out properly.
First, I tried exporting a playlist as a Test playlist in all the available formats there is, with AP and without AP (Absolute Paths)
Results are as follows: (this is for PC to Phone)
XML.xspf WITH AP: works (also works with NO AP)
M3U.m3u8 with AP works fine after locating files (also works with NO AP)
M3U.m3u with AP works fine after locating files (also works with NO AP)
winmap with AP: none was found (without AP wasn't found as well)
.aimppl4 not even recognized by phone, both AP & no AP
For exporting and importing playlists that were made on my PC, from PC to my android Phone, I've come to the conclusion that I can simply use the XML.xspf file, and keep the same file path / folder structure of my music folder(s), just as it is on my PC, have it the same way on my Phone, and then, once I'm on my phone, I simply let AIMP do it's magic and select "Find Files" on each playlist, as tedious as it is, it gets the job done.
But say I want to export my Playlists from my PC to another PC, with a different User / Profile name, and the file path is different;
What I tried was as follows: (this is for the 64-bit (No Installer) version of AIMP, it's the one that I use)
Make a test folder structure called "Music", with one album, and make a playlist out of that album
Export the playlist in the XML.xspf format, both with AP and without AP.
(i copied my PC's AIMP folder)
On the other PC, i downloaded a whole new version of "64-bit (No Installer)"
Tried importing the playlist, it just won't work. no matter what
I then copied my AIMP folder, and tried with that one, instead of the freshly downloaded new one
The only thing I noticed was, that it contained information of some other playlists that I have on my PC, but other than that, the Importing of the Test playlist didn't function as well
Could someone help me understand, how I can seamlessly export AIMP playlists that I make on my PC, and successfully import them on my Phone & other PC, all at once, and without any additional tedious work?
Same question for exporting playlists from my Phone, and having them imported into a new phone / new PC / current PC ?
Any help & guidance / clarification regarding this is appreciated, I wanted to make a post and dive deep into this because I truly couldn't find any information that solved my problem, and I wish this post to become the one where people in the future could come and find solutions to this problem, like the one I'm facing, until one day, maybe the AIMP software & App gets a new and smoother user experience, when someone tries to export and import playlists.
Thank you!
