You need to switch the option to 16 bit, there will be no problem.

I put it on DirectSound and 16bit and it's still crackling . This was my favorite plugin ever used on Winamp many many years ago it made everything sound so much better! Would love to get it working properly

I used to use it too until I switched to a high bit rate sound card.The problem with this plugin is that it works properly only in 16 bit mode.I can recommend you as an alternative Enhance Extra bass and treble plugin.

I tried it on this setting and I think it's working ok now, but on this setting It blocks every other sound the laptop wants to make lol.  But as soon as I stop aimp from playing, then all the other laptop sounds start working again.

That's right, the exclusive mode works individually.

I think I've got it going good now with no crackles and every sound on the laptop still working with no issues. Had to change the 'Parameters' to 44100hz from 48000hz.  Thanks for the help




lol never mind, as soon as I made the post it started crackling after 45mins of music playing.   Back to the other setting where it can only play audio from 1 program at a time.

I think for further sound upgrade you should move to professional bitrate there you don't need global improvements of this plugin.

I have Windows running in 24 bit audio output mode, all content YouTube streams go without monopoly mode wasapi.Of course for this you need the appropriate hardware.

Same here I got mine in 24bit mode. I can change it to 16 bit right in the options there, but it makes no difference for AIMP issues with enhancer.

I understand you, I think you should look for a replacement plugin. The main thing that would work with high bitrate.

Yeah probably, I was looking at [DSP] [x32] Enhance Extra bass and treble that you posted. I remember using that version on Winamp probably more than 20 years ago  I'll have to give that 1 a try

I like the Enhance Extra bass and treble plugin, its feature is good midrange processing
