Smart Watch Client + WebDAV

I have only recently discovered your app, and i quite like it.
However, it fall short on a few ends, which i would like to inquire about.

The Android Phone App:
  An integration for reading, browsing, and playing music from a WebDAV folder, with buffering.
  This would allow continuous playback over the network from my server at home, without being bound by the limitations of my local storage capacity.

WearOS Watch App:
  Subsequently, i would like to inquire about a SmartWatch standalone app.
  I have a Samsing Galaxy Watch6, which has LTE, so doesn't require the phone.
  A stand alone app that is simple, playback audio over LTE network to a WebDAV folder. Limited browser, it just needs to stream music.
  This one in particular is a hole in the market, as YouTube and Spotify do offer this, but so far NO provider offers playback from self-hosted servers.
  Going for a 2h run or workout with nothing but my Watch + Bluetooth Earbuds would be a gamechanger !

Whe have no app companion for WearOS, because AIMP can be controlled via standard widget for multimedia.

I wasn't able to find that on the forums on my own, thanks for forwarding me this !
It's still scanning the +1TB Library, so we'll see how it goes, if it goes.

About the watch, that's a misunderstanding.
I am not talking about a companion app, i know WearOS comes with a default "media controller"
This is not what i mean, i don't want to control the media that is playing on my phone.
I want no phone.. and need a standalone app on the Watch that can stream music from a server over LTE to my earbuds.
The watch is fully capable, youtube and spotify offer such a standalone app. Can be configured on the phone, but does not require the phone to stream music.
THAT is the missing link, an AIMP WearOS app that can stream either from the phone or a server over 4G/LTE.
Meaning i can go on a 10km run with nothing but my Watch and headphones, don't need a clunky phone in my pocket, don't need a companion app.

Sad to hear that, hope someday this will be considered.

Been using the AIMP Android App now for a bit, i have some feedback.
- Connecting to the server via SMB worked right away, and i was able to add the content to my Library. However, there seems to be no way to actually browse that Library in the same way i can do with the local storage library. I can go under "My Music" and then "Folders", but this only shows Local Storage. I've added my entire +1TB library over SMB (as i couldn't get WebDAV to connect) into a custom Playlist. But there seems to be no way to browse that playlist using the original folder structure. Having a Library that is gathered over 20+ years, trying to find anything by Name, Artist or Genre is like a needle in a haystack. And selecting Grouping By "Folder" in the playlist still end up in an endlessly long list. Could it be introduced to browse any playlist by Folder as well, to retain the folder structure so i can actually find a song.
- I added some online music URLs to bookmarks, which works great for playback, except for AutoPlay. It seems that as long as i am playing a local or SMB mp3 that when i plug in AUX jack or connect to Bluetooth that AIMP just resumes the last played file and even at the same timestamp. But when my last played file was a URL MP3 stream like https://hirschmilch.de:7000/chillout.mp3, it does not start playback when AUX or BT is connected.
- Shuffle: Currently Shuffle seems to only be Shuffle All ? It would be good to introduce several types of shuffle when holding the Shuffle Button with a dropdown menu:
  1. Shuffle Off
  2. Shuffle All (entire library, regardless of folder structure or genre, Ignores album/folder boundaries completely, ..)
  3. Shuffle Songs (within Gategory: so only shuffle everything within the selected Genre or Folder)
 > Currently Shuffle seems to just shuffle the entire library, while i have not found this particularly usefull, as it can jump from Chillout to Deathmetal. Need to be able to shuffle everything within a Folder or within a Genre

Other than this, pretty solid App, my thanks to the Devs

Yes, music library cannot index external storages because it requires files metadata so it may lead to download entire files due indexing.

But it should resume playback, except the bookmark. So, refer to the "About" dialog of the app, and check the "enable logging" option. Restart the app. Now, reproduce an issue and send the log file to me. Please, report to me a approximate time when issue was happened.

Player shuffles current content of the playlist. So, if you need to play only the category in shuffle mode, so, just add the category to a playlist.
