Not sure if this is correct part of forum for PODCASTS as "...AIMP v4.60 .... Starting from this version player has built-in podcast support... "
For many years I have used JUICE (formally ipodder I think) to download my PODCASTs, did the job well and very easy to manage, but it no longer copes with some of the new RSS feeds so I looked around (too long a story for here) and tried my old trusty AIMP, which does the job pretty well.
All I want is an easy to manage PODCAST "Downloader to PC Structured Folders" that I can then add to the device of my choosing, usually AIMP on my Android Galaxy S10.
So, questions/ suggestions?
[] When downloading, I have no idea how far it has progressed, it just shows the current file in a status bar.
- Other than filtering things like Local Copy and Status is there a way to check how many downloads to go?
[] Are far as I can see for "Update all podcasts" AIMP Podcast "plugin" only checks for 1 at a time, and similarly it only downloads 1 file at a time. Many Podcast downloaders (inc Juice) have multiple threads.
[] Suggestion1: Add some more options, (even user defined) to the "Mark As" (e.g. listen last, science, urgent)
[] Suggestion2: Ability to subdivide the Subscriptions (e.g. science, politics, religeon)
AND/OR
[] Suggestion3: Ability to overide the file name template for each subscription, say to allow for categorisation in the filename, or even a different folder.
Apologies if I have not understood the Podcast Plugin, especially if my suggestions are already catered for, but it is new to me. Assuming I get a response, I will add my suggestions to the Suggestions Forum later.
