Trying to find a way to play music I have uploaded from CDs. This app isn't finding any of my music. Do I need to download the app on my laptop to transfer music to the android version?

If your CD is CDDA type, you need to use CD Grabber tool (its part of AIMP's Audio Converter tool) to grab data from CDDA to a music file.
