It would be highly useful if tracks that have already been played during the current shuffle cycle could be visually marked (e.g., dimmed/grayed out or given a subtle icon) directly in the playlist.
What reason for? If you what viewing what tracks are already played / were not, I suggest to shuffle the playlist entries instead of using shuffle mode. So, playback order will always be obvious.
Since the player generates the random sequence ahead of time, it would be great to have a dedicated field in the UI (or natively supported in the default Charm UI skin) that constantly displays the title of the upcoming track. Note: The player clearly already knows the next track in advance, as it switches instantly without any delay when hovering the "Next" button. It would be amazing to just expose this existing internal information visually on the screen.
In the default skin, this information is displayed in the tooltip for the Next Track button.
