Had the same issue today with the update to v5.30.2531. The solution was to download the installer (aimp_5.30.2531_w64.exe), and perform the update from here. There was even an option to skip the backup creation, although it still worked for me.

Hello putra05,

since AIMP 5 is out, are you planning to update this skin?

On my side, it is still compatible and only the top banner "AIMP 4" looks outdated.
