Title: [x] [3078] [Linux] Local Library: Filtering by special characters/ligature
Post by: HorrorOfTheUnliving on August 02, 2026, 19:46:25
Environment:

OS: Linux Mint 22.3

AIMP Version: v6.00.3078 Beta 5 (Linux native)

Description:
When using the Local Library (Archivos locales), clicking on a special character/ligature in the top alphabet filter bar (for example, Æ) causes the track panel on the right side to remain completely empty.

Steps to reproduce:

Add an album/track from an artist with special characters in their name (e.g., Ævangelist).

Navigate to Local Library (Archivos locales) grouped by Album Artist - Year - Album.

Click on the special character button (Æ) in the top letter bar.

The artist appears in the column, but selecting it shows a blank track list on the right panel.

Additional details:

If you click on the asterisk (*) to show all tracks, the artist, album, and tracks load and play normally without any issue. The problem is isolated exclusively to the alphabet filtering logic when handling extended character sets/ligatures under Linux.

I'm attaching screenshots.

Kind regards.
