Title: Equalizer behavior under AIMP 4.30
Post by: Rfx9123 on May 15, 2026, 21:15:58
Since AIMP 4.30
Equalizer: each output device now has each own custom preset

How can I check or change the assignment? My DAP allows me to plug in wired headphones, switch the same output to SPDIF to connect it to a stereo system, or use Bluetooth for speaker output. But even with the new version of AIMP, I still have to manually switch between my own equalizer presets, just like before.  ???
Device: iBasso DX160, Android 8.1

1) Ensure that "Auto" is switched on
2) Select the preset after device connection. App will bind the preset to that device

;D Thanks for the quick reply. I wasn't aware that the "Auto" function triggered this behavior. I always thought it created an equalizer setting based on the music itself and hadn't activated it.

Sorry, but it's not working as expected. The "Auto" function seems to choose the equalizer setting based on the music track's tag, because after changing the output type, the setting is defaulted to "Rock". I'll leave "Auto" disabled for now.  ???
