Is there a way for the Podcast plugin to read and map ID3 tags from the rss file when downloading? Like there is often data in
tag in the rss.xml file, that is not in the podcast.mp3 file. Sometimes when they upload the podcast file, they do not encode the ID3 tags properly, but they are in the rss.xml document. Can the plugin read the corresponding tags in the rss.xml and update missing ID3 tags in the dowloaded file?
I know it can map to filename, but descriptions are often very long.
Thanks!

Thank you for replying. Here is the rss for a podcast called Philosophy Talk: https://publicfeeds.net/f/15207/feed-rss.xml
It has elements for description (

....) and image, etc.
When you download the referenced audio file, it doesn't have any ID3 tags that I can see, other than encoder settings. File URL:https://dovetail.prxu.org/15207/24f9c025-9283-4c5e-b5df-0f8964e696bc/PhiloTalk_Addiction_1.mp3
It would be great if there was a way to tell it to pull things like the description and embed it in the comment tag, or the image, etc.
Thanks again
