Can you record a small video that illustrates your actions that leads to the issue?

nope no way of doing that.
What happens.
Aimp running, one playlist containing 4 items.
PC shuts down. Starts up. Aimp is loaded with NO playlist. I reload playlist and repeat.

So, may be AIMP was killed before it saves the content?
I reload playlist and repeat.

What you mean under "reload" here? Do you import the playlist from the file?

So, ensure that profile folder (and playlists subfolder) are not in "read only" state. It seems like app cannot store the data.

since 4.3 or just before it stopped loading the pls

Since v4.30? We have no v4.3 for PC...

Anyway, please do following steps:
1) start the app with /DEBUG key (you can add the argument in shortcut properties)
2) reproduce the issue
3) open the app settings and click "profile folder" link
4) next copy the AIMP.log file and send it to me.

It seems strange, but there are no recording errors on the program's part. Are any other settings being resets besides playlists?

I only changed auto load I will remove it completely including the profile folder and see if I can get it to work.

for example: preferences - playlist - close palylist by double-click on tab - ON
close AIMP
open AIMP
what status "close palylist by double-click on tab" ?

Anyway the playlist checkbox has fixed it. It now remembers the playlist. BUT I DID NOT CHANGE THIS.

What exactly checkbox solves the issue in your case?

The double click play list one
Seems like an inverse but it now loads the playlist on restart/load

%) its sounds so strange. this option lead to double click on playlist's tab. that's all. May be, you've unchecked "save temporary playlist with name Default"?
