Title: Missing entries
Post by: Luckymehra990 on February 06, 2026, 13:07:15
I Just bought a new device Realme Narzo 80 Lite 5G 20 days ago and I'm facing a strange problem regarding how player indexes library, some of my files like .WV (WavPack and WavPack Very High) aren't showing inside player.

I also tried to Re-Add the folders for a rescan and still the problem persists.

It's stored on a folder named Hi Res Folder.

Here is a small recording - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gJoxepsWePWlLMqm6CbK8xF1wwLH7W_H/view?usp=drivesdk

It won't fix the issue, I can only see FLAC, SPEEX, WAV, ALAC but not .wv.

by default aimp sees only formats that android understands as audio
u must full access folder for aimp to see .wv format

add files to the playlist again

Have you updated the music library's index / playlist after doing that?

Yes i tried the following steps:

*AIMP -> Tap on Default  -> Add the Playlist.
*Add The Folders Again to Rescan.

I had uploaded a new Recording of Both AIMP i.e Realme one and FB2K on my primary device i.e Samsung.

Sorry i don't knew this prevoiusly.
As the Applications i had used never got this issue. It's fixed.
It's maybe as AIMP uses it own Hybrid file picker.

According to OS:

Storage Access Framework (recommended from Android 10 onward)

This is now Google's preferred method for apps to gain the permissions that they need to read/write files. It is a bit more restrictive than the old legacy method, and can be slower in some instances. However it should continue to work with all future release of Android.

You are not meant to select whole root storage areas with SAF (such as choosing to use all of an SD Card) but must instead request the specific folder to which you require access, which will also provide access to any of its subfolders. Some system folders (most notably Download on internal storage) are, or will be, prohibited and should be avoided.

Thanks
