Title: When I open AIMP, once start playing one playlist, I start hearing another one
Post by: caur77 on December 01, 2025, 17:37:54
Hello. I reported some weeks ago about this issue with hotkey and opening a playlist.

There's a recent bug here I'm experiencing since just a couple of days ago.

----

When I open AIMP and start playing music from one playlist, I immediatelly start listening another one, which was the previous playlist being listened past day.

I though the first 2-3 times it happened because my computer is very old, but i just notice that now is a trend happening to me.

Does this happen to somebody else ? Do you know how to fix it? In case is not, then please I report this issue to Admins in case it happens to somebody else.

Thanks in advance

Ok

Hi, this issue has kept happening to me.

Today it happened 2 times again.

Somehow I think can identify now the issue.

1) On my keyboard, there's a button that opens up default Music player.

2) When I pressed it, I set 2 audio files to be heard. Playlist will not return to start once it finishes.

3) When I minimize this "default" playlist, I start listening for a couple of minutes. Then, if pressing this button on keyboard to open up Music player, it opens up Aimp a second time and it starts playing from start a couple of files I was playing yesterday.

4) This issue never happened to me before updating this last AIMP version or the previous one at most.

5) Main issue here is that, when pressing the keyboard button, it should only open up the current AIMP process where I'm currently listening music.
Instead as it is right now, if I press the keyboard button, it will start playing a Second process so basically I end up listening 2 music themes at the same time which is a bit messy.

Would appreciate to know if there's a way to fix this. Thanks for the help.

What app version you uses? Is it 32 or 64-bit?

Oh, I'm sorry very much by not answering before.

I use 32 bits version.

The additional issue here is that I cannot replicate with certainty every time it happens ...

So after months having this bug, the situation is:

I'm playing a file in AIMP, then press "music" keyboard key to open AIMP player and a second instance from this program opens up and another file from another opened Playlist starts playing, so basically end up with 2 music files being played on the same time.

What makes this annoying the most is that I press "music" button on keyboard just to get first main AIMP window as main priority to see its current information. Just to get it visible from the other opened stuff on Windows.

Either way, I have an old computer so its maybe an issue with memory but if manage to get a way to reproduce it with certainty, i'll post it here

I've updated to last version, I think march 07th 2026 and SO FAR, this mentioned bug above has NOT happened thus far.

I hope it doesnt happen again but if this was the needed fix, I just wanted to thank you once again...

It's a Great software for Music.
