Title: How do we prevent deleting a playlist when the external hard drive is disconnect

My playlists are set to "check for changes when the player starts." If, for whatever reason, I disconnect the hard drive and forget to do so, the player deletes the actual list and all checked/unchecked songs.

Is there any workaround to have the player monitor songs but do nothing when the external hard drive is off?

Is your playlist a smart-playlist that synchronizes with the folder?

Yes it is

So, there are two ways: make playlist read-only, or disable automatic synchronization
