Title: Internet Radio - Skip Initial Song on Enable Stream Capture
Post by: NoxMorbis on August 28, 2023, 07:31:28
I think it would be nice to have an option to skip the first song that you capture when first turn on capture stream. It's always a partial song, so just auto deleting it would be great.

Not always. The player can record the currently playing track from the beginning (if you connected to the station before the start of the track and turned on the capture in the middle). See "Buffer size for background recording" in Internet Radio Capture settings.

I get it. It's default is 5 seconds.

It would need to be at least as long as the songs are long, depending when you engage the capture stream option. I guess you could set it to a really long time, like 15 minutes?

Also, if you enable the capture right as you start the program, it's still going to be a partial song because the program started after the music.

I think it would still be preferable have the option to "do not capture first song" on capture start (to prevent capture of partial songs).
