Hello,
I am playing files from a Windows share and that works fine. If I export the playlist in M3U8 format, the files are saved with a path of smb://, but when I try to open that playlist, I get an error "Unable to load and play the file. Error: The file was not found". I get the same error with .pls playlists.
If I export the playlist in AIMP format, as .aimpbpl, then the files do play correctly. The problem is that I am trying to modify the playlist through a program and I don't know what needs to be included in the .aimpbpl format.
So is it possible to create a playlist in .M3U8 or .PLS that refers to SMB files in a way that Aimp can recognize?
Thanks for any help,
John

M3U8 file formats should plays correctly too. What is your app version?

I am using Android version 3.22 Build 1199.
I tried clearing the playlist, adding new songs from the Windows share, then exporting the playlist with those 4 songs and them importing that playlist back in.
After the songs are added they play fine. After I export and then import the playlist I get the error that the file was not found.
I have the Windows share set up as a source and if I exit Aimp and the get back in the Windows share is still available. Also, this share requires a user and password, but Aimp seems to have saved the credentials correctly but the source continues to be available. Is it possible that when playing from the play list it is not using the saved credentials?

Is it possible that when playing from the play list it is not using the saved credentials?
It should take it automatically from predefined source.
Please, try with 3.30 beta (I have re-design remote storage connections in this version, special for clouds support):
