Title: Why does "Update Content" delete files from playlist?

I assumed tapping "Update Content" on a playlist while my phone was connected to my PC would update my playlist to match the one on my PC. Instead it just deletes all or most of the files on the phone playlist. Is there just no way to update a playlist on AIMP Android to match the one on Windows AIMP that I originally exported it from? Also, what is Update Content actually supposed to do?

Update Content removes files that does not exists at phone
