Hello everyone, I'm looking for a plugin that can distinguish how a track ends and how the next track begins so it can perform a smarter mix between the two, for an internet radio use.
I mean the simple fading is just not good enough.
In the days of Winamp there used to be some plugins made by SqrSoft (Advanced Crossfading Output) if my memory serves me right, that used to do just that, and there was also another one, that was called advanced crossfade disk writer_out_mix2dsk13, that also allowed the user to export the output directly to a file, thus creating an hours mixset in seconds and not in real time of course.
Can AIMP do that?
I mean I know that it can export a playlist onto a file, but also smart mix?
Ideally I would also need another plugin to normalize the tracks. Is there a setting for that in AIMP, I'm not sure!
Your help will be greatly appreciated!
Regards

No, crossmixing is unavailable for streaming.

Thank you for the quick reply Artem.

Not sure exactly what you mean by streaming... Lets just assume that I only need to create a file on the hard disk from a Playlist. So forget the Internet radio etc.
Is there a way to smart mix the tracks on the playlist and export the playlist on a single file and also normalize the tracks?

You can join few files to single file (+ cue) via audio converter but without cross-mixing. Unlike Winamp, AIMP does not have output plugins.

Sorry for thread resurrection.
I don't know what "output plugins" means, so if my whole post could be answered with "AIMP does not have output plugins." I am very sorry. I googled it before writing this, and I found something vaguely related, but not sure. Still thought to shoot my shots lol, and try to ask for this. Sorry again.
The main question is bolded, the rest is info.
Recently I bought a pioneer car head unit that has MIXTRAX option. As the name implies it mixes tracks, there is no smart-mix like with BPM detection - at least I don't think so, or my HU is not that "advanced" - but it has couple of transitions that I must admit I really like. Of course it is far from good DJ mix, but it is a neat gimmick, for me at least. Pioneer also released MIXTRAX pc app that has - well had, because it is very much obsolete right now - much more effects, and it does have smart-shuffle feature and with that it shuffles songs so the BPM is similar, therefore mixing songs better. I downloaded MIXTRAX app from official (I hope so, but if not, PC is doing ok) pioneer site by accessing it through archive.org. This is the link:
https://web.archive.org/web/20200226182046if_/http://pioneer.mixtraxnet.com/dlcdn/mixtrax/MIXTRAX.exe
(To change the language you have to click the 2nd option drop down menu (hotkey "E") and click the last option in it (hotkey "F"), in the next window first option is language)
Would it be possible for AIMP to adapt at least low and high-pass, and maybe low-to-high-pass song mixing? Listening to these transitions in a car with subwoofer is 1000x better, but the experience on PC is also cool. Would love to hear it on AIMP.
If by chance it could, and would be added, I also suggest option to skip the previous/next song by X amount of seconds (so the transition from LPF to LPF or HPF to HPF is better. For example hip-hop/rap songs usually start with silence/buildup, so mixing LPF to LPF would be less effective if the next song "didn't start" yet)
Quick answer to a question that might pop up:
Q: Why not use the MIXTRAX app if you want to have these transitions that much?
A: Two issues with that, one it does not support .flac which my whole library is, only .wav, but the main issue is the fact that the audio constantly glitches/stutters when the effect is starting and ending (even when it's simple fade-out, fade-in, it is glitching like it has to process the transition) almost all the time. Also if you skip the songs manually the effects are not applied. Maybe I didn't find the option to change that, bc the GUI is quite strange, but still, having these transitions in AIMP would be amazing.
