Overview:

iZotope Vinyl allows you to create a "lo-fi" sound using vinyl record and
phonograph models. Although it's free, we set a goal of professional
quality, both in look and feel, as well as sound quality. Of course, in this
case sound quality means making it sound realistically bad, and we spent
significant time tuning models and samples and developing 64-bit signal
processing for noise shaping, distortion, EQ, and dithering.

You should think of iZotope Vinyl more as a sound design tool than an effect
that you simply turn on. In other words, to get the best results you need to
experiment with mixing scratches and dust while adjusting other properties.
Spend some time getting familiar with how the effects work together, and
you'll be able to get some very realistic results.

Getting Started:

1. Open Winamp
2. Press control-K
(the Winamp preferences should be visible now)
3. Select 'DSP/Effect' from under 'Plugins' and select 'iZotope Vinyl v1.0'
4. Have fun!

Help:

Check out the Help and especially the section "Quick Start - 10 Steps to
Lo-Fi" to learn how to make it so bad that it's good. You can also right
click on any control to get a short description of the effect.

If you have any feedback (we especially like the good kind), please email us
