What is Dee?
Dee is a Digital Sound Processing plug-in for Winamp. It improves the sound by adding deeper bass, treble and richer 3d effect without distortion.What's new in version 1.1?
Version 1.1 has a completly new, easier and much more intuitive interface. The DSP effects are now faster and sound better. Reverb effect is added to simulate different environments. We also added "mini" and "hidden" option for people who don't like too much windows on the desktop. Of course we optimized DSP effects to use less CPU power.How to use this plug-in?
After you have installed Dee in Winamp plug-ins folder, please start Winamp player, open "Preferences" window (press Ctrl-P or Right Mouse Click, Options, Preferences), go to "DSP/Effect" tab and select Dee. The new window with 9 sliders will be opened. We recommend to disable Winamp built-in equalizer. Here's a short description of the sliders:
There are also some helpful buttons. Press "?" at the top to open about window and launch this help. Press "x" to hide Dee window. The sound processing will be still active. To open Dee window, open preferences (Ctrl-P), DSP tab and press "Configure" window. There is also "mini" mode. Press the triangle at the bottom of Dee window.
What are the requirements?
Yes, we know that Dee window sometimes disappears under Win 2000, we'll try to fix it ASAP.
Dee doesn't work on some MP3s and CDs
Currently Dee supports only 44/48kHz, stereo sound format.If you want to use Dee with your audio CDs, we recommend you download and install CD Reader plug-in.
