« Last post by Artem on Today at 16:28:02 »

Mr. Artem.

Bugs / Re: [x] [1740] A problem with how the "file information" option displays in AIMP

« Last post by Artem on Today at 08:21:09 »

I tried the new update. It partially worked and partially did not. The text is now displayed as English/Latin characters and I can read it. But, the formatting instructions are displayed in the text and not followed, instead of not being displayed by the text and used as instructions as to how to display the text. That may not be the clearest explanation, so the image below should make clear what I mean.

Yes, AIMP always displays lyrics as a plain text, it does not supports for HTML / Markdown formatting. I will improve this moment in v4.50 beta.

Also, can I make a suggestion for a new feature? I have begun using wireless headphones. What often happens when fiddling about with the controls, is that I accidently skip to a new track and lose my place in the podcast I was listening to. I then have to skip back and try to work out where I was. A first world problem, but a bit of a pfafff. Would you be able to include a feature that automatically bookmarks the position of the track you were listening to, (if that track is longer than say five minutes), every time you skip forward to a new track? That way instead of needing to manually find my postion in the previous track, (a big annoyance when the podcast is three hours long), I could just use the automatically created bookmark. This could be an option that people can turn on or turn off as they need.

Its already implemented in app, refer to app settings \ bookmarks

The Omnia music player is able to display the text without the formatting instructions. Perhaps there is something you can do?

If it's not possible to do anything about displaying the text or this suggested new feature, not a problem, I can read the text now, so a nice improvement.

I'm sure this all takes a lot of time and effort to develop. Thank you for the great app!

Addons / Re: 2026/8/3 Local Lyrics Desktop Display Plugin

« Last post by ProArt1st on Yesterday at 15:55:27 »

Your plugin is great! Many years ago I used MiniLyrics, which unfortunately is no longer maintained, and there’s only one feature I really miss from it.

MiniLyrics could display several lines at once (I believe I used to set it to 2 or 3) and scroll them vertically as the song progressed. For me, this was much easier for singing because I could see the upcoming lines well in advance, and they always moved vertically in the same direction.

With the current two-line mode, I can see the next line in advance, but there’s a problem: it's difficult to judge when exactly the next line will start.

With a single-line display, the problem is even bigger: the next line simply isn't visible early enough.

What I would really like is an option to display, for example, 3–5 lines at once and scroll them vertically. The current line could stay highlighted in a fixed position, with the upcoming lines always visible below it and moving up as the song progresses and with already implemented karaoke style Enhanced LRC.

This would also make it much easier to anticipate when the next line starts, especially after a longer instrumental break or a pause in the vocals.

That would make the plugin pretty much perfect for my use case.

The latest version has been uploaded with support for scrolling lyrics, along with fixes for the previous issues.

I originally created this plugin simply to make it more convenient to view lyrics while using the PC—if you're familiar enough with the songs, you can easily sing along just by listening.
