A year is coming to its end, so we are ready to summarize its results and present our RoadMap for upcoming 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

AIMP for Android<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year we did not have so many releases as in 2018, when our mobile version got 4 updates. However, 2019 brought almost as many changes and innovations as the previous year.

We have released v2.90<\/a> in the first part of this year, and that was the last version of generation v2. That version got enhancements for the sound engine and playback management settings. We also introduced support for lyrics.

Right after the v2.90 release we have started working at full tilt on the new major build \u2013 v3.0. Its major feature is the modified and more convenient User Interface. Unlike the one in previous builds, the new UI is not just the modified skin. It is an interface we\u2019ve implemented from scratch. It was inspired by the \u201cMaterial Design 2\u201d concept. We took into account your requests and tried to resolve some important problems you reported while using AIMP 2. In addition to visual changes we have also enhanced the whole performance of AIMP and made our interface more convenient.

AIMP for Windows<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year we have released a single AIMP for Windows update \u2013 v4.60, just as planned (except for service updates) announced features<\/a>, we have implemented support for night mode that was introduced in one of the latest Windows 10 updates<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

AIMP for Android<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next year we are planning to continue our work on interface usability when working with playlists and bookmarks. In addition, we would like to extend the list of supported external audio sources with new providers.

I kindly ask that you participate in a small survey<\/a> that will let us determine the importance of certain features and help us plan our development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AIMP for Windows<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PC version goes into the maintenance mode. We will, of course, release minor fixes and enhancements once they are ready. However, do not expect us to implement major features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nightly builds<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It often happens that a certain bug is fixed very fast – next day. However, a corresponding update is expected several weeks later. We do not want to make users affected by this issue wait for so long. So, we give them a link to a \u201cnightly build\u201d with a corresponding fix.

I would like to go further and implement a special page for our web site, where nightly builds will be published automatically. That new page will be available to all users, but not only to \u201cchosen ones\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A year is coming to its end, so we are ready to summarize its results and present our RoadMap for upcoming 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

AIMP for Android<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year we did not have so many releases as in 2018, when our mobile version got 4 updates. However, 2019 brought almost as many changes and innovations as the previous year.

We have released v2.90<\/a> in the first part of this year, and that was the last version of generation v2. That version got enhancements for the sound engine and playback management settings. We also introduced support for lyrics.

Right after the v2.90 release we have started working at full tilt on the new major build \u2013 v3.0. Its major feature is the modified and more convenient User Interface. Unlike the one in previous builds, the new UI is not just the modified skin. It is an interface we\u2019ve implemented from scratch. It was inspired by the \u201cMaterial Design 2\u201d concept. We took into account your requests and tried to resolve some important problems you reported while using AIMP 2. In addition to visual changes we have also enhanced the whole performance of AIMP and made our interface more convenient.

AIMP for Windows<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year we have released a single AIMP for Windows update \u2013 v4.60, just as planned (except for service updates) announced features<\/a>, we have implemented support for night mode that was introduced in one of the latest Windows 10 updates<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next year we are planning to continue our work on interface usability when working with playlists and bookmarks. In addition, we would like to extend the list of supported external audio sources with new providers.

I kindly ask that you participate in a small survey<\/a> that will let us determine the importance of certain features and help us plan our development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AIMP for Windows<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PC version goes into the maintenance mode. We will, of course, release minor fixes and enhancements once they are ready. However, do not expect us to implement major features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nightly builds<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It often happens that a certain bug is fixed very fast - next day. However, a corresponding update is expected several weeks later. We do not want to make users affected by this issue wait for so long. So, we give them a link to a \u201cnightly build\u201d with a corresponding fix.

I would like to go further and implement a special page for our web site, where nightly builds will be published automatically. That new page will be available to all users, but not only to \u201cchosen ones\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
